Which of these offers the best return for the authors? Kindle or hard copy? I will purchase whichever is most beneficial.

    Thanks,
    Bob

No I suggest getting the 5.1 book. This book includes everything the 5.0 book holds but calls out the differences with 5.1 etc.

Got it. Great reading if you are already familiar with Version 4.1 and 5.0. It does not only explain how it works, it also provides a great “What’s new in 5.0 and 5.1” section in every chapter.
I also like the new snapshot appearance, all down with the Web Client.

I wonder, are there any major updates since 5.0 ?

I didn’t recall seeing changes to HA clustering that VMware had listed in their whats new documents

There are a couple of changes to HA since 5.0. But most of the work for this version of the book went in to the Stretched Cluster section and the full re-write of Storage DRS

This book is an automatic purchase; Duncan, the deepdives from Frank and yourself are the best explanations written, in my opinion. Would love to see a VMware VIEW deepdive.

May I ask what’s the difference between this book 5.1 and 5.0 book? I have not read 5.0 so should I get this book instead?

Yes get this book instead. This book highlights the differences between 5.0 and 5.1. So you get both for the same price 🙂

I see there is a Volume 1 to vSphere 5.1 Clustering Deepdive. Here! http://www.junglee.com/Vmware-Vsphere-5-1-Clustering-Deepdive/dp/1478183411/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1352550327&sr=8-1

Is there a Volume 2 also?
