VMworld is just killing this blog

Duncan Epping · Sep 17, 2008 ·

I just hit an all time high of 4000 unique visitors on one day…. Man this is going insane. Thanks everybody for visiting my website, it makes it worth it. I hope I can be at VMworld next time and do a better job at feeding you with information.

For those that didn’t go to VMworld… part II

Duncan Epping · Sep 17, 2008 ·

So after I shutdown my pc a couple of great articles were released, read ’em or view ’em here:
Rich Bramley: BC3819: Re-architecting Data Protection Processes with Data Deduplication and Virtualization Technologies
VirtualFutute.info: Fault Tolerance
VirtualFuture.info: VDM 3.0
Scott Lowe: TA2668: VMware ESX Architectural Directions
Scott Lowe: BC2621: Fault-Tolerant VMs in VI: Operations and Best Practices
Eric Sloof: Video’s, Video’s, Video’s! Just keep checking his site regularly!

Small changes to my blog

Duncan Epping · Sep 2, 2008 ·

Because of the amount of traffic being produced by several specific parts of the website I will make some minor changes over the next couple of days. I’ve also debugged the My Del.icio.us section which wasn’t working anymore, you can click the links again if you’re interested in what I’m reading on the web.

I’ve also changed the social bookmarking plugin. The previous one was one in the top 3 of bandwidth for reasons unclear to me cause it wasn’t that spectacular. So I’ve added an “add this button”. If there are icons missing on the initial popup that should be there than just let me know and I will add them!

And if you’ve got any other ideas on how I can improve readability or have more dynamic content than don’t hesitate to let me know!

And besides these small changes check out NTPro! Eric did some major redesigning! Great job,

Brand new blogs added to the Planet V12

Duncan Epping · Aug 29, 2008 ·

John just added a whole bunch of cool new blogs to the Planet V12 RSS Feed! What an enormous list of cool blogs and news sites. This is almost too much! It would be cool if there were at least two sections, technical and news for instance. I know not every blog is that strict but their must be a way to divide it so it doesn’t take me two days just to catch up. And Microsoft also started feeding, so another feed to read!

Anyway, Planet V12, the place to be!

VMware podcasts

Duncan Epping · Aug 21, 2008 ·

I don’t know if everyone listens to the VMware podcasts or not, but there are some cool podcasts on this page!

The topics range from Planet V12 blogging to advanced HA stuff. Definitely worth listening to! Maybe I’m just a geek, but I have this on as background music all the time… 🙂
