The Dutch VMUG!

Duncan Epping · Dec 4, 2008 ·

Just a week to go for the event of the year in the Benelux. The Dutch VMUG Event 2008! Over 500 people have registered so it almost sold out. Be sure to get your tickets now if you want to go.

I think it’s amazing that such a small country has such a huge active VMware User Group. Not only a huge VMware User Group, but also a huge amount of bloggers. Of which a couple are really notorious:

  • Eric Sloof – NTPRO
  • Bouke Groenescheij – Jume
  • Sven Huisman – VirtualFuture.Info
  • Arne – ict-freak.nl
  • Gabe – GabesVirtualWorld.com
  • Ivo Beerens – Virtual Ief
  • Aleks – virtualistic.nl
  • Joep – virtuallifestyle.nl

And I probably left out a few. So as you can see, the Dutch love technology! Anyway, most of the bloggers will be there, and they will be recognizable. So if you see any of us walking around, come up and have chat, we won’t bite! (well at least most of us won’t, I can’t vouch for Gabe unfortunately!)

That Gabe is a real biter! If you see him at VMUG, keep on the right side of the room and do not pass other people. Alert him with light signals. And most of all: do not look straight into his eyes, we all remember the bokito incident. Rumours are that was Gabe in a gorilla-outfit.
