Soccer…

Duncan Epping · Jun 14, 2008 ·

This has got nothing to do with virtualization… this is about the Dutch Soccer Squad.

WHAT IS GOING ON? First we beat the Italians with 3 -0, and yesterday we’ve beaten France with 4-1. It’s been a very long time that I actually enjoyed watching the Dutch squad. Especially the game against Italy was amazing! And what the 3-1 and the 4-1 against France… damn, what an amazing goals.

So for all the Euro’s reading this blog, let me know which country you support!

    Switzerland!

I have to admit though, it is probably more fun to be an oranje … Anyway, as long as we beat Portugal tomorrow its all fine. If not, it doesnt matter either … We are used to 0 points. Anything more is luxury … 🙂

I’m in for the orange, as long as they serve borrelnootjes and beers in old borft.

I’m spanish, and support Spain too :D.

See you on the final game?

I like very much how Netherlands is playing.

Ahhh, your blog is very interesting too 😉

Would be cool if the finals would be Spain – Netherlands. I’ve been a big fan of spain over the last 15 years or so. It’s a shame that for some reason they never succeeded in winning a big tournament these last couple of years!

Football is a simple game; 22 men chase a ball for 90 minutes, and at the end the Germans always win.

Well … as an englishman living out in Spain, things for me are a little complicated.

Firstly, England aren’t even in the Eurocup 2008 so there’s little chance that the English are going to win it, and Spain, well … they’re famous for reaching the quarter finals of any competition and then bombing out at the last minute, so they’re not going to win it either.

We did a wee bet between mates of mine at the pub the other day, and I’ve got 5€ on Portugal winning this year.

    Siento mucho amigos españoles

Since our team was not able to get into the Eurocup since the ’80s 🙂 I’m a fan of the Dutch team and I’m very glad that they came up with such good results. Hope they will continue their winning series right into the final 😉

Ah, Monsieur Epping, what happened? The Oranje lost in the quater finals. What happened to the dream team of 1988 with Gullit, rijkaard, Van Basten, Vanenburg etc. Van Persie and Co just couldn’t do it. Malheureusement les tricolores (the french team) were really miserable

For some reason they played a fantastic first game, followed by a still great second game. Beat the world champion and the runner up. The third game was with their second team, which also won. But against the Russians it seemed like nothing worked out like it did before. Everything went wrong.

It’s a damn shame, because Netherlands – Germany would have been an amazing final. Damn Germans just won, they played a terrible game. Turkey should have won, they were better and deserved it!
