VMware has done a great job with this tool. Especially the ability to convert Linux machines to VM’s and the re-sync option. I perform a lot of P2V’s for clients. If ONLY I could schedule the re-sync to run when I want it to. Then I could copy the majority of the massive data during the day then on a scheduled downtime window allow the re-sync to process.

    Thanks for keeping us informed!!!!!

This update fixed the problem when I installed this on my laptop, and the laptop would wake up from standby constantly.

    Solgae,

I have the same problem on my laptop. I was not aware that this was an vCenter Converter issue… If yes then, great…. -:)

I am looking for a document that explains the communication through different ports when conversion is done. Is the Service Console used data transfer when the physical machine is converted.

    Any help much appreciated. Thanks!
